His name: Phillip Perkins Jr., better known as The Original “Dj Flip”. Born and Raised in Indianapolis, Indiana Dj Flip has always since he can remember, has had a love, a passion, a gift for music.

As a child he remembers dancing around trying to be like his father, who played the upright bass, he released a couple of recordings back in the day. He is also the nephew to the late great jazz legend Carl Perkins. So as you can see music is in his blood.

Then he was introduced to the recording studio in the mid 80’s and that process and the fact he could make his own brand of music made him love music even more.

He holds a degree in broadcasting and in 2000 started his own production company which was created with her in mind, MUZIKOVERMIND (M.O.M).

Dj Flip has worked and vibed out with a lot of local and industry related people.
