Bryant 'Mystah' Lockett

The BIO:

Bryant 'Mystah' Lockett was born May 18, 1988. He grew in up
Hammond IN, in a regular middle class family. He fell in love
with music at young age, joining the junior choir at his
church at the age of eight. He sang with the choir for about
two years after stopping to pursue other after school
activities, such as his school choir and basketball.

It wasn't until the age of twelve,  that Mystah picked up a
pen to write his first rhyme. Sitting alongside one of his
favorite cousins, they would write various raps that only
they would perform in private with one another!.

Mystah took a break from writing raps and songs between the
ages of fifteen and nineteen to focus more on some serious
health issues that he was dealing with. Although he wasn't
writing at the time, he was always listening to music, using
it as a therapeutic catalyst to reduce and relieve stress
during that stage in his life. It was then that he found to
love all different types of genres of music such as; rock,
techno, jazz, metal, country, and a plethora of others.

When Mystah turned twenty years old, he started to get back
to his writing. Now, being more open to different types of
music, he started to write songs for all the types of genres
he loved. Now it wasn't just rap and R&B songs he was
writing, there was also some rock and pop as well. He also
wrote songs for future female artist that he hoped he would
      find.

After Mystah moved to Indianapolis in 2013 he started to
record some of the songs he had written. His voice can be
heard on quite a few tracks that him and a close friend
recorded together on YouTube. He's also currently working
with Indianapolis artists PZ (who he's known since childhood)
and Aceon. He says that his main goal working with music is
to ultimately become a successful song writer, and if
      possible a producer as well.
